In traditional steam cleaning, a combination of pressure, speed and temperature is used to dissolve dirt. Water is heated in an enclosed boiler until steam is generated. Every couple of minutes, a liter of water comes out of the nozzle together with chemical cleaning agents. Translation: Steam cleaning is based on saturating your sofa or couch with an excessive amount of water that contains soaps and detergents.
